Privacy Policy

1. Data controller

The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website and in the course of our services is B2B Accounting AG, Dorfstrasse 38, 6340 Baar, Switzerland. For any privacy question, contact us at info@b2b-accounting.ch.

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to you, we also comply with its requirements.

2. Data processed when you visit this website

When you access our website, our hosting provider automatically records technical connection data in server logs. This includes your device's IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested, and details about your browser and operating system.

This data is required for the secure and stable operation of the website and to prevent misuse. The legal basis is our overriding legitimate interest in operating and securing the website. We do not combine this data with other sources.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages). Cloudflare processes the data described in section 2 as a processor on our behalf, using a global server network, so processing may also take place outside Switzerland. The transfer is safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses and a data processing agreement.

Please note: hosting of this marketing website is separate from the processing of your accounting data. Accounting data is held on Swiss servers (see section 7).

4. Audience measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

To improve our offering, we measure website usage with Cloudflare Web Analytics. This tool works without cookies and without persistent identifiers. It does not create cross-device profiles and does not track you across other websites. Only aggregated metrics such as page views and country of origin are evaluated. We cannot identify you from this data.

5. Contacting us

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the information you provide in order to respond to your enquiry. We keep this data for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry and any follow-up, and thereafter within statutory retention periods.

6. Client portal

Our client portal is accessible through a separate, secured login using multi-factor authentication. Within the portal we process the data required to deliver our services.

7. Processing in the course of our services

For bookkeeping, payroll and VAT administration, we process the data you provide for that purpose. Your accounting data is held on Swiss servers. Any AI model we use runs in a Swiss data centre: it is never trained on your data and does not store your inputs. Every entry is confirmed by a contact person at our firm.

We process client data exclusively in Switzerland or in countries with a level of data protection recognised as adequate by the Swiss Federal Council (EU/EEA). We archive supporting documents in compliance with the revDSG and the Swiss ordinance on the keeping and retention of business records (GeBüV) for at least ten years.

8. Disclosure to third parties

We disclose personal data to third parties only where necessary to deliver our services, where you have consented, or where we are legally required to do so. Processors (for example our hosting provider) are contractually bound to comply with data protection.

9. Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, in particular encrypted transmission (TLS/HTTPS), access controls and multi-factor authentication for the client portal. Our staff are bound to confidentiality.

10. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes or as required by law. Data is then deleted or anonymised.

We may amend this privacy policy so that it always reflects the current legal situation and our processing activities. The version published on this page from time to time applies.
